Keratosis Pilaris (Chicken Skin) Laser Treatment | Gentle Improvement for Roughness and Dullness

What is Keratosis Pilaris?

Keratosis Pilaris, commonly known as "chicken skin," is a very common skin condition. Many people notice rough, small bumps on the outer arms, front thighs, or buttocks, sometimes accompanied by reddish-brown or dull discoloration.

Causes

  • Related to genetics, characteristic of skin types prone to keratin buildup.

  • Keratinocytes in the hair follicles do not shed properly, gradually forming tiny keratin plugs.

  • New hairs become trapped inside the follicles, unable to grow out smoothly, leading to an uneven skin surface.

  • Occasionally accompanied by mild redness or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Please understand: This is a genetic predisposition that cannot be "cured," but through regular and appropriate aesthetic care, the skin can feel smoother, appear more even, and significantly improve roughness and dullness.

Our Aesthetic Care Plan (4 Steps)

This plan is not a medical procedure, but a comprehensive aesthetic technique that uses light therapy + serum infusion + keratin conditioning to help the skin gradually regain its refined texture.

Step 1 | Gentle Optical Keratin Conditioning (Specific Light Energy Technology)

  • Uses specific wavelengths of light energy to gently remove accumulated old keratin from the surface.

  • Helps to clear follicular openings, allowing subsequent serum ingredients to be absorbed more easily.

  • This step is a non-invasive physical treatment with high comfort.

Step 2 | Perifollicular Optical Assisted Care (Another Wavelength of Light Energy)

  • Applies gentle light energy to the areas around hair follicles to reduce discomfort caused by ingrown hairs.

  • Long-term treatment can stabilize the follicular environment, gradually smoothing out the bumpy texture.

Step 3 | Multi-Acid + Panthenol + Retinol Serum Infusion (Keratin Metabolism Conditioning)

  • Multi-Acids: Help to loosen and dissolve existing keratin plugs.

  • Retinol (Vitamin A): Assists in regulating keratin renewal, reducing re-accumulation.

  • Panthenol (Vitamin B5): Soothes the skin, reducing dryness and discomfort after treatment.

Step 4 | Tranexamic Acid + Arbutin + Vitamin C + Niacinamide Serum Infusion (Brightens and Evens Skin Tone)

This combination targets dullness and pigment marks with multiple brightening ingredients for improvement:

Ingredient Primary Supporting Action
Tranexamic Acid Helps stabilize skin tone, reduces factors that deepen pigmentation
Arbutin Helps block melanin synthesis pathways
Vitamin C Antioxidant, helps reduce existing dullness
Niacinamide Helps even skin tone, prevents pigment from spreading to the surface

Overall Treatment Logic:
First, gently open follicular channels → condition the perifollicular environment → dissolve keratin plugs and regulate keratin → even and brighten skin tone, achieving comprehensive improvement.

Recommended Treatment Cycle and Frequency

The skin's natural renewal cycle is approximately 28 days, so regular treatment is necessary to accumulate results.

  • Recommended Frequency: Once every 2-3 weeks
